TV On The Radio
Dancing Choose

Project Description

Tv on the Radio & Geffen Records directly commissioned Surround to direct the music video for the 1st single off of their album “Dear Science.” Collaborating with singer Tunde Adebimpe on the concept, Surround created a very labour intensive cut and paste video that makes commentary on the internet age and on media overload in general. The album topped the year-end charts of Pitchfork, MTV, Stereogum, and Spin. Praise for the video came from numerous music publications like Stereogum who compared it to the “Warhol, Dali Screen-test at the Museum of Modern Art,” and NPR’s Spinning on Air named it “Music Video of the Year.”
